Welcome! I am sure there are RHD specific issues. For non-modified Blazers with 4wd, the front hubs can where out by 150,000 miles. The lower intake manifold (LIM) gaskets can fail catastrophically. If the coolant system was not maintained or if the coolant types were mixed, a sludge can form.

There are also generic issues with the 4L70E transmissions.

If maintained these can be great and useful rigs.

Thanks for advice. I really like the look of the S10 trucks so hopefully I’ll be able to fine one without too many issues, in Europe I’ve read the immobiliser can be real pain.

Cheers from Canada I have found a few a few common issues Which some being a easy fix ..even if parts are hard and $$ to get ..First if you keep getting a drained battery and a ABS light It could be a parasitic draw ( Something drawing power even with the truck off ) I found it to be the ABS module In time it gets soldier cracks from damp/heat/damp/heat age Taking it apart and resoldiering it and reseal its a cheap fix rather that a few hundred pounds in a new one

Spider injection system (older system fails) not sure on what years are updated Mines a 2005 2Dr 4x4 I think i have the updated one ..No issues so far

4x4 drive system : if your truck is 19 years old I would check anything rubber as by now its worn out or replaced Air hoses, coolant There is one famous hose that comes off and renders the 4x4 useless This hose can be found on the drivers side fender behind the brake ABS module and it fits into a hidden nipple under the lip of the fender about a hands lenth from the firewall

If you have any issues check out the fourms By now everything has been covered lol

Thanks for the heads up. I’m toying between one of these, rare in Uk, or a Ford Explorer, more common for parts etc but not as nice a truck.
