Hey all, I just started driving and my first car is a 1992 S10 Tahoe Blazer 4X4 which was passed down by family and am paying $2k for it. This thing is awesome! When I first got it smelled horribly of dog and after I was done vacuuming and baking-soda treating it, it smells just fine with a hint of berry (car freshener ) Thing's got less than 50k miles on it, been garaged all of its life and runs SUHweeet! Got a little rust on the front driver fender which i intend to fix later (when the cash flow increases...) but other than that, it's awesome! That's my ride! Loving this forum, as I'm a DIY guy and love taking things apart to make them work better. And I'm thrilled I can talk to people about what's best for my truck! I plan on first giving it some AUX lights in the middle of the bumper (I'm thinking of drilling a couple holes thru the chrome) and then a couple fog lights underneath. Any ideas on if that's good or bad? Suggestions are welcome I will get some pics up soon for my avatar. I recently washed it and it's nice and shiny! The wheels are nice but they seem to have a plastic coating or something on them which has gotten air underneath it and i have no idea how to make this go away! It drives me nuts! Suggestions welcome and thanks everyone!

Welcome to the forum.
If the old clearcoat is looking bad on your wheels, Ive heard if you wipe them down with a rag, damp with WD-40 it will make them look better.
But it's something Ive never tried, Good Luck, and have fun here at the forum.

Welcome.

I think the WD40 trick would look good until you get dust on them. The oil (kerosene I think) will attracked dust and debris like a magnet.
