Noob from the heart of TEXAS (PICS)
New here from Texas. My name is John and I love to hunt, fish, shoot guns, 4 wheel, drink cold beer, and generally be outdoors. I am married with two beautiful little girls that I would die for ages 3 and 3 weeks. Anyway, I have been driving Chevy since I got my license and just sold my 1995 C1500 short wide 350 226,000 miles and replaced her with a 1989 K5 350 162,000 miles. It's my first K5 so I have a lot to learn and I look forward to it.

You gotta love Texas vehicles. Up here the winters would have decimated her by now. Good looking K5.
I also like the flipped over air cleaner lid.

Thanks. It's got some steering issues, more than likely linked to the spewing power steering hose that the previous owner neglected. All my front end joints are shot. 300 or less should take care of all of that. Otherwise it's pretty clean. Just popped the top today and I'll post pics tomorrow. So far I've replaced all the bulbs behind the gauges and replaced the complete lens piece on the cluster. Changed out the throttle valve cable today and am not quite sure why it won't quit leaking tranny fluid from there. I've removed and reseated the part that actually goes into the top of the tranny, but it's steadily seeping. It's hard to get to and impossible to see. It's really pissing me off at this point. Any pointers or first hand experience would be greatly appreciated. -John
