welcome to the show brother.
too bad about your red one, it sure looked nice. question.........from the couple of pic's in your album, why didn't you just buy back the truck, & rebuild it?
the new one isn't too bad looking either. but don't worry, pretty soon you'll be feeling the luv for the new one as well.

well one: parents wouldnt let me
and two: we didnt know the extent of the damage. we were afarid there was unseen damage too (bent frame or engine/trans. problem)
When i was taken to the hospital i supposedly took the keys out of the ignition (I don't remeber doing it).
So the tow company had to DRAG it out of the ditch and 100 ft. across the highway and up onto the flat bed. The tow company was pretty sure that it F'd up the tranny.
but trust me i wanted to OH so bad!

that is insurence company's favorite excuse "hidden expenses". They told me my frame may have been bent and the didn't want the risk of finding out that things might have been messed up. Because the damage quote on mine was almost $1500 cheaper than what they were going to pay for it... oh well my blazer turned out pretty cool

Yeah i know, in my case the damage was quoted at $5500 and they gave me $5750 for it. I picked up the new blazer for $4000 flat, and no taxes because of the insurance waiver. So i have some money to put back into it BUT currently it has a cracked windshield that needs replaced and the Check engine light is on.
I was told the check engine light was due to a bad O2 sensor, but took it in to get replaced and came back with the cam/crank sensor error code. Replaced both of them but light is still on, back in the shop when I go home this weekend.
wish me luck.

Great pics. I have a 2000 Blazer also. Thinking of buying some new tires. Been looking at Cooper Zeon's online. Having body work done next week. Was hit twice. First was rear ended at stop light. No biggy. Took the money and paid bills. The second was a hit and run in a parking lot. Took that cash and paid more bills. Was thinking of buying something new (pickup truck), but after looking at prices (crazy) decided to fix my blazer up. New stereo last week. Body work next week, with towing package added (need to tow 2 horse trailer in future). Also needs air compressor to come in summer. No air last summer, and at my age (nevermind) that's just wrong! LOL!
Lastly, I get tired alot when I drive. Even a 2 hour drive, if I get tired, I pull over and sleep. Always at a truck stop or rest area. Good Luck to you!
