Well IrishChris for not believing the conversation your doing a good job, or rather trying to do a good job arguing agaisnt the 6".
A jeep is 94" or so and it gets high centered easier than a Blazer. Teh Heep t-case hange below the frame, while the blazers doesnt.
getting high centered is more than wheel base, its also a function of ground clearance, especially in the middle.
As for the heep, the first mod is to lengthen the wheel base to 100-106" for stability with big meats. You obviously dont get out much do you.

No NO NOOOO. . . think about or go to you tube or anywhere jesus PEOPLE?!?!?! ok so if its the case how come myself and so many people have rigs that are 2 door or even lil trucks bobbing the rear as much as possible longer wheelbase equals lack of places to go to here in colorado a lot of our trails are narrow as **** and tight tight turns I personally would rather be able to do more trails than just be too DAM BIG TO FIT!!. . . But than again lots of people give a **** and you got people driving off trail and over trees and **** and than look . . . O WOW . . . REALLY?? I wonder why yet another amazing trail is closed??
WOW! for a noob, you sure do come in with your guns all a blazing!
brother you need to relax, and take a deep breath.
i've had my '92 in many places where some 2 doors & YJ's were having issues-alot of it has to do with the operator too ya know.

As far as blazers go it doesn't matter. I wouldn't use an S-truck for more than light off roading, but thats just me. Without heavy modification at least. They wouldn't be my first choice if I wanted to do "hardcore offroading." I didn't buy mine to tear up mud, I got mine because I didn't want to get stuck in mud and snow when I occasionally had to drive through it. Mine gets used mostly for street driving, and I think thats what they were intended for. 80-90% street driving with 20-10% off road. The stock CV axles arent something I'd want to try to get serious with
Long wheel base vehicles have their advantages on and off the trail. To say all long wheelbase vehicles suck off road is just wrong. My choice for a trail rig would be a 8' bed regular cab pickup with solid axles but everyone has their own opinions.

just to add more to the fire.
there isnt a stock vehicle produced from the factory today for hardcore wheeling, except maybe the Rubicon. However if Im going to spend 30K on a hard core off-raoding rig, it wouldn't be for a new one. It would be for mods to my S-10Blazer.
Attached is a S10-Blazer on 53" tires. No way your getting 53" tires under anything shorter than a 100-106' wheelbase truck and not tip over.
This video link is from Cliffs Insane Terrain.
The truck is a heaviely modified Bravada. V8, Dana 60/ Corp14 bolt both narrowed to fit, coil spring up front, leaf in back. He did win Top Truck Club Challenge with that truck. 40" tires.
How much do you really think 6" of length makes a difference?

The real difference is ground clearance.

To add more....
If I was going to spend 30k on a Off-Road Vehicle it would be the Toyota FJ Cruiser Off-Road Edition

If I had 30k just for a Off-Road, i would personally spend it on a slightly older vehicle so the majority of the money is spent on mods. 30k in off-road mods would be yummy.
