Warth is right. Blazers and S10's are everywhere. Anyone know how well parts form a newer Trailblazer would work on first and second gen blazers? You know, just in case.

how does not at all sound?

the driveline is not compatible. the full size would be a better fit.

This is a great thread. It is nice to see a few who think outside the box as I do. The S-10 Blazer is a great rig choice I think. That is one reason I own one. I have tested a 97 Blazer 4x4 in the rugged high desert of Nevada. If they are is good shape they will take a lot of abuse & keep on ticking.

honestly the issue of nuke is small, the s10 is great because it car run at all temps and get wherever you need to go. that is why i always get a g80 equipped ready to run. i know i can get where i need to go. within 40 mins i can have a garage wirth of tools and survival suplies in the truck along with my rifle and ammo. knowing you can survive whatever comes is helpful

I just wanted to know what I could salvage from a newer model. Just a thought.

There are many people that think in a "be prepared" mindset. Not everybody thinks that "nothing bad could ever happen in this country".

On an aside a friend of mine is goign to Marine Corps boot camp in a few weeks so I brought him out to learn proper rifle usage. Blew through about 200 rds including some of my hornady zombie killers. For a 55gr round, that thing exploded out of the rifle. Was shooting at some bowling pins on the berm, regular rounds popped through but the ZK's blew it a foot up the berm.

Im a fan of the Hornady. I use them in my Ruger Redhawk(which is always with me in the woods) and my Marlin Guide Gun in 45-70.

Anybody ever pack heat when out in the backwoods in your blazer? You know, for those two legged and four legged threats.

A fine, fine gun. That would convince just about anything to stop and think twice.
