Default Long Island 4X4 Beach Permit

For all my Blazer fans on Long Island, the New York State Parks 4X4 Beach Permit is on sale now until April 30th. It is $65.00 and I know you can get it at the State parks Office on Belmont Ave in West Babylon just off of the Southern State and at the office on Robert Moses State Park.

UPDATE: You no longer need a saltwater fishing license in the State of New York. Of course I just bought mine 2 weeks ago, what do think the chances are that they are going to refund me? Yeah right!!!

Are there any requirements to get it or do I just have to show up? And if anyone knows what are some good spots to go offroading?

You will need your registration to verify the vehicle and where you live. They will give you an information booklet on what you need in the truck for when you go out on the beach and it also has some diagrams on where you can go out such as Gilgo (if it opens) this year, Sore Thumb east of Oak Beach, Democrate Point on Robert Moses and a few others out east for beach access to fish. Unfortunatly I do not think there is any place on Long Island where you can legally off-road.
