NEW LT TIRES for the BLAZER
Today, I went out and bought a set of Delta LT tires for the Blazer. I'm getting ready to spend the summer on the back roads of Arizona & Nevada. The wife is off for the summer starting May 23. It had a set od Michelin P 235-70x15 alright for highway but I prefer LTs 6 ply tires when we're a 100 miles from anything off-road. The Delta's are 235-75x15 load range C. I also bought a wheel so I could have a full size spare. The truck had a donut spare which is almost like not having a spare when off-road. Thought I got a fair price $550 out the door for the set including mounting the spare wheel & installing. The Michelins I had mounted on the wheels for my single axle cargo trailer. So we're set I hope. Truck is running good after all the problems so I pray it continues.
I noticed that also. I guess they do. My wife's Lumina has a set of Delta Esteems. They have a 660 tread wear A traction & B temp. They worked good in the snow & ice in Flagstaff this winter on a trip we made.
I went out today on a dirt road with a steep hill & they performed way better than the Michelins. Which I expected. I like these tires I think they will serve us well. I have never run Deltas until the ones on the wife's car. I do know Delta is an old name. I remember when they were a BRAND NAME tire. They were good tires back in the 50 & 60s. They were called the "Delta Tire & Rubber Company"
