RATIO??
I had 3.08s on my old silverado with 35x12.5 tires and it had no *****. I swapped them for 4.10 and it made a huge differance. Are you doing mostly on or offroad? If using it offroad, i was told by Goat 4.10 would be good. otherwise I would use 3.42-3.73.
yea..well i am going to eventualy lift it 6 inches so i was thinking 4.10 or 4.56 the most..but the front diffi has to be .01 higher..and when i look online for the gears i can never find a .01 higher?? (EX only 4.10, NO 4.11) or does it all come in one set?
I don't think the front diff HAS to be .01 higher... I think that's just to offset the fact that it's got the engine over it...
If both diffs have the same ratio, you'll probably be able to leave it in 4x4 with less issues on pavement (like if you forget to knock it out of 4x4 when you get back to the road)
Kinda like the AWD vehicles... I don't think the front and rear diffs had different #s... that would cause major issues when running on pavement for a long time...
Now, keep in mind I'm a little on the tired side, so hopefully, one of the experts who knows what he's talking about can come and correct me, lol
