Mine supposedly has the g80 locker in the rear. But I don't think it works anymore. I've been crossed up before, with only left front and right rear spinning, but any truck with open diffs will do that.

As far as compared to a Toyota, not sure either. The aftermarket for Toyotas is way, way, way, better, that's for sure

 

thats cool,i guess like always it comes down to money.its all about momentum when going threw mud that and knowing what you can make it threw.
i had more fun on dirt roads during the winters because they get pretty bad but nothing like a off road park where dudes have tractor tires are digging holes and getting stuck,i didnt even try to going in that.

 

The park we go to has plenty of variety of stuff. Easy trails, to hard. The last time I was at stock height and tires, and made it through a lot of stuff. Now, since I lacked ground clearance and tires, I depended on momentum! I beat the crap out of the undercarriage, luckily didn't break anything. Tomorrow when we go, I'm gonna try to go slower, and let the lift and tires do the work

So, I had already done some mild trimming, but I was still getting some good rub at the ohv park yesterday.

Now, I disconnect the sway bar when I wheel, I want every bit of articulation I can get; and while I don't do super hard core rock crawling, it's not my daily driver, and I have friends with trailers, so I'm not super afraid of breaking it, either. So ymmv with the amount of trimming vs tire size.

This is what I just did, can't really trim much more, I'm up against the firewall. Hopefully it won't rub next time out

It might look excessive, but when the wheels are turned, and you come down off a rock ledge, the gap closes up significantly

 

Now that's a little trimming. The mud covers it up nicely though. Now to fix your front driveline!

 

Trying to get a plan together! I think I'm gonna end up replacing the 17 spline output shaft with a regular u joint one, and see if I can get my stock shaft welded up with a u joint in place of the cv. I've got a new thread going about that, though

Well, the only leak I currently have is from the front diff axle seals. Plan to replace those soon. I've battled leaky remote oil lines a few times, and my left rear axle shaft seal and bearing took a couple tries to get stopped leaking.

Surprisingly, even with 350k or so miles, the engine and transmission don't leak at all. (now that the remote lines are fixed, anyway) I change the oil every 3k, and it might be down a quarter quart, if that
