Went out tonight with a 6 inch lifted sierra with 33s mud tires and went almost everywhere he went except the deep puddles which would have been sucking water into the air box and didn't get stuck and my tires are almost legal bald ill post a video later

My girlfriends dad's s10 is the opposite as that green and white one someone posted earlier. But as far as blazer capability I drove my blazer with stock 235's and only a 1.5 tbar tweak everywhere my buddy took his '08 silverado. And he got stuck(unfortunately didn't have to
Pull him out) but still rub it in his face

Blazers (& owners hopefully) are capable of being there when someone needs them/a hand. Yesterday on the way home from work traffic was really bad. As I got closer to the intersection in question there's a 5 ton flat bed full of scaffolding with his 4 ways on in the left turn lane. I drive past looking at all the dummies that have pulled into that lane & then wanting to pull back out lol & see the hood up. So I go a block past, wheel around & park in a lot. Walk over & ask if they need a tow out of the intersection because traffic is backed up almost 3/4 of a mile.
They said sure but what do you have? That - as I point over at the blazer parked. One guy had a silverado 4x4 parked near by but no strap to tow... so what the hell, I lend them my recovery strap (rated at 18,000lb breaking strength) & we stop traffic & haul him off to a lot nearby.
I didn't get to haul him off the road but at least I helped traffic & them off to a safe place.
He asked if that (my blazer) would have been able to pull his truck. I laughed & said yeah well "IF" I need it I have low 4 but I hauled a freightliner last winter up an approach with a 53' flatbed behind it... I think it could handle this.
What are we or our blazers capable of - being prepared.

X2, couldn't have said it better if I tried!
There are way too many selfish people on the roads that scowl at a person that's broken down. Take a few minutes & try to lend a hand because so many will be thankfull. Plus we get to post it here lol, it's all good!

Live in old country mountains, and I always lend a hand when I can. I also purchased a 9,000 lb load 25' strap (18,000 break) just to haul my buddies 01 Dodge 2500 lifted diesel when the transfer case blew out, didnt think I could pull it a mile to the dealership we worked at. Also had an opportunity to rescue my sister and friend off the side of a mountain recently, the right rear wheel was at head level and the subaru they were in had all four wheels off the ground facing a 150' freefall. And the wreck was caught on video they were taking to set up a local car forum drive. Wasnt his fault, just caught a bump at the wrong time and slid around.

Remember bullies pick on people to make up for there own inadequacies.
P.S. The GM IFS is stronger than a Dana30 Solid Front Axle. It's the price tag for the ability to go off-road, that's why the Jeeps are so popular. However a Blazer is in my opinion, a much more plush and comfortable ride. IFS owns SFA on-road, but you do have to mod the suspension in some way before you can compete with an 80's-90's Jeep.
I'm a cheater... I have a Ford rear end and a 6" suspension lift... But I like the fact that it's NOT a Jeep, it's a CHEVROLET!
