So I am wanting to know exactly what one has to do in order to prepare their blazer for water snow and mud. I know that you have to extend the breather lines. I know there are ones in the rear diff, tranny, transfer case, are there any others, where are they. What/ how do you extend them, is it just rubber hose, are any special connectors required. What else has to be done in order for deep water, snow or mud? Thanks for all of your help.

theres a breather hose on mine next to the radiator which i am assuming is for the front diff? and im going to assume you can get longer hose or extend them just make sure its sealed i dont know how the intakes are ran in blazers so id check that and make sure you wont get anything in there

Vacuum hose.
Buy it at your local autoparts store.
Run the rear diff into the engine compartment along the drivers side, avoid the exhaust pipes.
Find the vent tube on the tranny and run it up into the engine compartment. Older trucks its a little thing about 4" long on top of the tranny right behind where the bellhousing flattens out. Newer models have a hose on it and it lays on one side or the other of the tranny.
The intake is locaed next to the driver front headlight. DO NOT enter water at speed. It will push up and into your intake. Some like to seal up therotro cap, only do that if this is strickly an off-road toy. Bring WD40 in case you get water in the cap, WD40-Water Displacing 40th try or something like that.
Otherwise go have fun and post up the pics.

If you have a vacuum operated 4x4 system, get a locking throttle cable from a farm impliment THEN go mudding, nothing like getting stuck with the junk vacuum actuator.
Id extend the vent tubes to the top of the fender and extend the intake tube if you are going to be hood deep in the stuff.
