what NOT to do
Well, lets see... happened at north topsail, no the tide didnt come up on me, yes it was salt water, was driving down the tidal creeks when i felll into a bowl. All around the truck was like 3 inches to a foot deep, had been playing for a while, and i just didnt see this hole! Even at a measly 10-15 mph, by the time I hit the brakes I was in it!!! Lesson learned. No i didn't try to start it lots, and I plan to drain and fill and see what happens, but I'm pretty sure she's toast. Water was over the hood when I went in the hole, she kinda leveled out in the pictures. Im just glad nobody got hurt, and hopefully somebody else will learn from my mistake!
Damn, that SUCKS!! I didn't know that you could do that at topsail, even lived in holly ridge for 2 years. Guess I would have had to be part of the 4x4 group to know. Not sure what you got down there far as parts but I know there's a place up in Goldsboro. Good luck, i sure miss the warm weather down there.
