Default Will my winch be strong enough?

I recently got a superwinch x3 rated at 4,000 lbs for free and was just wondering if I should even bother putting it on the blazer or not?

Thats an ATV winch. General rule is you want a winch that is rated double than the weight of the truck. Blazers being roughly 4000lbs a 8000lb is the smallest you can use.

neo nailed it. you'll be needing a 9000 lb winch.

you could use a ****** block to double your pulling power, but it's gonna be working @ max capacity every time you use it.

better to sell it, and use that free cash towards a bigger winch.

or a lift and bigger/better tires so I'm less likely to get stuck
