Anyone know where I can find a 2.5 - 3 Ton winch that wont cost me an arm and a leg? I'm making a bumper and dont think I'm gonna put a winch plate on unless I find an affordable winch.

 

Well a 6000lb winch is not big enough for your k5. The general rule of thumb is to get one rated to at least 1.5 times the weight of the truck. Some will say 2 times the weight. So that would be roughly a 9000lb winch minimum.I would get something in the 10-12000lb range. I just bought a 9500lb for $300 form Rough Country. They also have a 12000lb for 400. That is about he cheapest you will get and still have a quality winch. I believe the ones they sell are re-branded mile markers.
