Default Back window hatch glass won’t stop squeaking!

2002 4 dr* the back hatch glass refuses to stop squeaking while I’m driving and it’s driving me nuts. For now it’s gotten so annoying that I put the truck in neutral and pop the hatch open while I’m driving and hit the dome light override. I’m getting to the point of where I’m going to go get thick one sided foam tape to put around the edge of the glass to stop it but I would prefer a more stock look than that cob job, is there any way to tighten the latch since I assume that’s why it’s not closing tight enough to avoid that squeak?

Look at the hinges and lubricate them. When I've done that and then move the pins of the hinges so that the heads of the pins are at the end of the hinge, it seems to go away. Doing this might at least lead you to an easier solution.

Good luck
