hey guys, i jst finished my taillight projecto.. i wanted to get some smoked out kind but nothing grabbed my attention.. i wanted them dark like AVS's blackout covers but i didnt like how the look(function) plus this florida heat- i knew they would jst fall right off while driving.. so i went ahead and bought a can of VHT Nightshade and went to work..
i got my tutorial from here and did it the excact same way (professional).. http://smoke-tail-lights.howtocar.net/tutorial.html
so heres my final result.. well not really, cuz the wax i had for the final step was not the right one and it was a lil old (6 yrs old) so next week i will get the right one and hopefully they shine shine shine
But im really happy the way they turned out, light shines right thru and they shine RED instead of purple or some pink... getting soon some LED bulbs for better lighting ..
Oh by the way some of my picuters my show them with a touch of purple color, as u can see my jimmy looking a lil reddish in some pix but its from my cell.. im telling u there BLACK BLACK!
The clearcoat step was perfect; a lil ex. - u can run ur finger nail across them and it feels like a fresh wax/polish car.. that smoooth
