Default Clear Coat Peeling - 98 Blazer

Well after several years of living with it, I'm finally going to tackle repainting the front end of my Blazer. The Clear coat has peeled pretty badly, on the top of both front fenders and the hood. Luckily there is no body damage to repair. Would you guys recommend removing the parts and spraying them individually or leave it on the vehicle to sand/spray?

This will be my first paint job and only have the knowledge of what I've read so far. I plan to sand both fenders and hood completely, no blending for me. Sand with 220 / 400 to remove the remaining clear coat, then I'll primer it then spray the color and then finally the clear. Sounds easy enough!

I still need to get the primer/paint and reducer. Not sure about the reducer though...since I've never used it. Also still need to get a water/air seperator for my compressor. I believe I'll be asking tons of questions as I work through this.

First question, any recommendations on where to buy the paint? It's the Smokey Caramel Metallic.

Trying to find a decent priced air compressor water/separator. Is this what I need to keep the water in the compressor out of the paint gun?
