Hi everyone i just bought a 93 gmc jimmy yesterday and have a few problems. A freind of mine refered me to this site and said you might be able to help.
Now for the prob, the guy i bought it from said that the previous owner has changed it to the digital guages. They work fine untill i turn the headlights on and the whole cluster goes black. this is a serious problem while driving at night or in the rain. Does anybody know anything about this?

 

Sounds like the dimmer is malfunctioning somehow. Have you tried increasing the brightness of the gauges by turning the headlight switch ****?
