Floor console Questions
The console without the cassette deck attaches to the floor with a bolt or screw under the tray mat....is this a stud that comes-up through the floor board or a bolt that screws into a threaded hole or a captive nut on insert???
I am a bit hesitent to just drill into the floor as I have no idea what is right under there....besides the transmission that is....
The floor console in my '02 has a cassette deck and I have found a console without the cassette but see that there is a slight difference in mounting between the two consoles. The cassette console has two stubs coming-up through the floor.
Thanks for any insight.

Did a bit of further investigation and appears that there is a plate spot welded in the trans tunnel with the two studs for my original console.
Guess I will try to epoxy a bolt for the non-cassette player console. Should be interesting....there is soooo much room....LOL.
