Have a '95, what can i do about headlights?
Yeah I seemed to remember somebody telling me 2nd gens had a funny plug, couldn't remember if it was the 94-97 or the 98-04 ones. Thats why I said firstgen anyways.
I say upgrade the wiring anyways. There is a small increase in light right there. I think the factory wiring harness on mine was 14 coming from the switch and thats just too small for lights. I do all mine it 10 gauge but with the wig-wags I have to have 2 relays to split the high beams to stop feedback and make them flash right. I could use diodes but I just do it with 2 relays.
I think the upgraded harness can be made with about $20 in parts with just 2 relays and really all you need is 12 gauge wire. I went way overboard on mine and used 10 gauge wire and got heavy duty ceramic head light plugs.

I know this thread is a month old, but I'm just now seeing it. Sterling, I did a write-up about how to upgrade sealed beam headlights to H4s. Even if you keep the same wiring as I did, it will be a drastic improvement.
