interior trim

got tired of wood trim look, so i painted the trim to match the exterior

What did you use to paint it? What was your process as far as getting the paint on? I'm in the process of finishing up this type of thing myself and wanted to see if our process is similar.

i just bought a can of duli-color exterior paint. as far as the process goes...

took it all out of the car, sanded it down to get the old clear coat off with 100 grit and then 220 for a smooth surface, painted, sanded again, painted, sanded and the let it sit for about 1.5 hours before i put it back in.

the entire proces took about 3 hours and a couple arm cramps lol
i plan to eventually put a clear coat on but for now i like it the way it is.

That looks good, very good color. I like the DIYthing that itbrings to the table.
I did a similar thing with my bowtie on the front, except its black.

thanks i was lookin at it tday and thought i might try and some kind of design on the trim before i put the clear on. thinkin maybe some blazer stickers/decals or would that take the effect away? and does anyone have any other suggestions for what to put on there?
