Need advice on replacing rear windows

I've had to replace both of my rear windows at different times. They came with all the plastic stuff attached. I don't believe the plastic trim is available separately. Fortunately for me, I'm much more concerned with function than looks, so junkyard windows worked fine for me. I have a friend who does auto glass, so he installed them for me.

I'm not sure about the 2 door(xtreme), but I know the 4 doors can be taken off...
I would try pulling one off a 2 door at a scrap yard to see if it is attached to the glass with tape, glue, or clips of such...
That way it doesn't effect your ride lol

I have the same problem with the plastic around my rear windows on my 2003 Blazer. That black plastic soaks up the sun all day long all summer and becomes rough and pitted. Every two years or so I sand them down a bit and put a couple coats of paint on them. I wonder how long I can get away with this before the plastic starts to crumble! Too bad there isn't some after-market replacement available; not economically feasible, I suppose.
