As long as your vehicle can handle a winch-by that I mean you need to make sure your off-road tires have plenty of tread for digging in and your vehicle is heavy enough. You should be good to go on it being heavy enough, but you don't want to be winching someone else out of a hole when you only have standard tires.
Also, if you get this winch, you need to make sure you're willing to take good care of it. That means that you need to operate it every few months weather it needs it or not. When you spool it up, you need to make sure you spool it in rows so it doesn't "crows nest". You also need to un-reel it every few months so you can clean the cable and re-lube it. As far as a good brand, I dunno. Mabye one of these other guys can tell you from experience. I just know about the care of them from work.
If you do get one, make sure you use grade 8 bolts and nuts (preferably the yellow ones) to bolt it to your frame. Grade 8 are pretty strong, and the yellowing is something to do with them being non-corrosive. You'll be thanking yourself whenever it comes time to drop the bumper.

well i found a nice set of used super swampers i have my fingers crossed and im hoping he doesnt want too much for them they are 36x14.50r15 super swamper tsl tires they will go perfect with my free 15" rims but i have been told that they will crush my fenders if i only put the 6" in that i originally planned on doing, cutting the fenders for now wont be a big problem because im buying cut out 4x flares anyways but i went on skyjackers website and looked at there tire to lift chart and they say that i could run 37" tires with a 6" so that leads me to beleive that the 36" tires wont rub but i may be wrong i was told they would rub because of how wide they are but a buddy of mine runs 33x12.50 B F Goodrich all terrains on a 2wd chevy wrangler pickup and its got stock suspension on it so i think that the person that told me they would rub is wrong?

I think he may be talking more about your front tires when you steer. I'd have to see for myself before I say yes or no.

Those tires will definantly suffice for winching though.

I still have to purchase all of the stuff for the rockers and floor, but that will not be much over $500 total. Round that up to $2000 complete with many extra parts and it makes for a VERY affordable truck. Still gotta add paint (likely $1k), but you get the picture.
When you said "add paint (likely $1k)" were you talking about doing all the stripping, sanding, priming and prep work?

I will be doing all of the paint removal, priming, and associated bodywork. Knowing a damn good paint guy, I should be able to work everything in for $1k though (materials).
