Default New Emblem

I got my emblem painted red. Looks nice, but I sort of messed up the rest of the grill doing so. My dadis disappointed, and so am I. I might have to re-do the whole grill this weekend, painted over the gloss trying to fix some red over spray (thanks 30 year old newspaper for ripping).

Or you could have just removed the bowtie and painted it separate.

They're just stuck on with two sided tape...you probably could have just pulled it off with a little heat.
Looks good though.

Unfortunately the only way to fix that overspray may be to sand and paint again. You can't clean spray paint off of spray paint I don't think lol.

Looking at it now, black tow hooks would look good, IMO red tow hooks would look tacky.

Thanks guys

Sisk: I think it's bolted on, on the back are two huge bolts.

Oktain: yeah that's what my dad said. Weekend project, and I won't have to do a lot of masking since my mesh grill is already black and I don't need to mask it up.

It's quite possible. I think some of them may have been.

NONE of the emblems were stuck on with tape. They all have 2 studs with tin nuts on the backside. You pull the grill and remove the two nuts and it pops off.
