new paint
its been a while since i posted last time i was on here i had just built my bumper and gotten my new wheels. since then i have done a ton of body work and gotten another new set of wheels and tires. for the body work i took off the spare tire carrier and shave the holes. the tire carrier left alot of dents so i had to fix those and the tiny chips in the paint took forever to featheredge out.
i havent had much time or money ive spent all of it on my new trail truck/rock crawler. for the paint i used nason everything, primed the bare spots, sealed it, then black basecoat and nason clearcoat with a medium reducer.
heres what i started with after i crashed it and rebuilt the front end.

then i did more body work and got my new wheels

built a bumper and did more body work

got my new wheels and tires, im not sure which ones i like best

and finally got it painted, i suprised myself and did a pretty good job, i didnt run it at all lol.

nothing better then finding out you can do more than you thought you could.
looks great, great job on resurrecting your blazer.
i am sure it will look great all around now, and that "i did it myself" response never loses its luster.

This is encouraging to me. My new blazer (2002) is not in bad shape but I am looking at painting it white or black (leaning towards white), lifting it about 2-4 inches, getting new wheels, lights, and grill, and adding runners on the sides.
I never painted and am considering painting myself versus having it done professionally; from your experience, do you have any advice, pros, cons, etc.?
Very nice work on your blazer.
