Default Painting my hood rack?

I am thinking about re painting my hood rack. It is beginning to peal and just looks bad. Its black right now and I want to go back to black. How would I go about painting this? What kind of paint to use? Also I want to repaint the black pieces behind the back windows. There getting pretty bad also.

I just painted my roof rack. I did a light sanding then repainted it with textured spray paint that was for metal. If you take it off to paint it like i did you might want to put something over the holes in the roof incase it rains. Also i would bother with the pieces behind the windows. Mine were getting bad so i painted them last fall and they already look like s**t

How did you get the back window panel off? I have been wanting to do it to mine, but I can't figure out how to take it off.

if you are just wanting to paint it black then you can use krylon fusion black. no need to sand/prime for it just take the rack off and spray. it gets pretty durable if you spray light coats within 15-20min intervals to let each coat dry, do about 3-4 coats.

Use a cutting gel to make your back window panel a shiney black color again. Do not paint it please.
