Whats the difference between 98-05 push bars and 95-97 push bars? I noticed they have different item numbers and are sold differently by year.

 

I'm interested in knowing this too....it seems like there are some better looking ones made for 98-05's. But i have a 96 so i'd like to know if it could fit with slight modifications.

 

Anyone know?

 

as far as i know the mounting points on the frame are significantly different. when i was researching pushbars for my '05 i came across several install articles for prev. gen's and they suggested that extreme modification to the bars would be necessary for proper fitment. I'm sure drilling new mounting holes in the pushbar uprights would seriously degrade the rigidity of the bars, and would wind up ripping them all to hell if you actually had a front end impact (be it other vehicle, tree, rock, or other offroad objects).

i wouldn't suggest using later model pushbars on prev. gen's or vice versa...they may look nice, but re-drilling and modification could end up screwing you in the long run.
