Default question about electronic compass

i have a 99 2door gmc jimmy 4x4.

from what ive read on other sites and such so far is, if i have power windows, i have "power convenience package" which would mean that the vehicle is pre-wired for the electronic mirror, or possibly the overhead console.

is there any way to tell from particular letters/numbers in the VIN whether i am pre-wired for certain factory options? I know that there are certain letters you can tell to see if you have the limited slip rear end (g80) which i do.

Right now i am trying to decide if i want to just get an electronic mirror, or if i want to get a console, and if i decide on a console, i am trying to decide if i want the basic one, or the one that has the trip info. I am using a scangauge2 right now to display mpg and such so its not so important to have the fancy overhead console but if i can install it then that would be sweet. Something about upgrading my lower trim level vehicle with options from higher trim level for very cheap at a wrecking yard that i love =P

i do not have a sunroof, and i like the idea of the longer console better. do the 2door and 4door blazers use the same length of console? (non sunroof models)
