Rear Glass Repacement 89 S15 Jimmy?
I broke my rear glass on my 89 S15 Jimmy. The local glass shop can get the glass without the metal frame. I have the metal frame off the broken glass and the channels in the frame cleaned of all the broken glass.
What is the best method to install the metal frame to the new glass. It did not appear to have any adhesive in the channel. The frame consists of a bottom piece and a piece that wraps around both sides. I have been unable to find any procedures on line to accomplish this task correctly. The glass shop is not interseted in doing the job as they have broken the glass in the past.

Update: I striped the paint of the glass frame and painted it with SEM Black Trim Paint. I installed the trim to the window by pressing the upper trim on first without any tools. Pressing in on the glass with the palm of my hand worked very well. I was able to install the bottom trim in the same way. The upper trim covers the top and both sides of the glass whereas the bottom trim covers just the bottom portion of the back glass and interlocks with the bottom edges of the upper trim.
