Default Removing appliques or rear plastic panels

I think this is for the 4Dr blazers only,,,,
To remove the rear appliques or rear plastic panels...Pic #1
Open the liftgate. Remove the 3 push pins or plastic anchors from the side pic #2 and be careful not to destroy them..they have a Phillips head but don't always screw out. So used a small pick to wedge upwards on the plastic screw head and gently screw them out . see picture of the broken one. Pic #3
Once the anchors have been removed get a long pick and slightly pry up on the center tab of the lock down holder(top and bottom) pic #4 and pull appliques away from blazer.
To paint them, I did this.
Rough them up with a SOS pad and let them dry.
3 thin coats of gloss black and let dry for 24 hrs.
Next day wet sand with 1000 grit let dry for 2 hrs then added 2 more coats of gloss black then let it flash for 15 mins then added 2 coats of clear and let dry for 24 hrs...pic #5
Not to bad...but better than before...$15 total cost
