Removing spray paint dots - Clay bar?
I had backed over a can of spray paint lying in the road a while back. It left a bunch of little spray paint dots all over my front end. I recently started trying to get them off using iso alcohol and a rag. Turns out the labor involved in that is ridiculous and some blue was ending up on the rag.
Now, recently I got my first random orbital buffer and a clay bar kit. I know clay bar will remove a lot of contaminants, but does spray paint fall under that category? If not, what is the best thing for removing spray paint? With iso alc I'll spend about 15 seconds scrubbing each dot... there's hundreds of them.
Thanks,
Cory

I've heard a clay bar will remove overspray from clearcoat. Just clay it as you would normally.

I've used my clay bar to remove paint dots on my truck especially when they built a lowes next to my job and then had the bright idea to paint the building during a windy day. But yea clay bar and then a good wax of your choice afterwards.

Alright thanks. I'll try it out when the truck gets back from the transmission shop.

IF a clay bar has trouble, use a plastic razorblade in removing the dots
