Rust
I’ve acquired a 2005 GMC Jimmy with only 57k kilometres on it. Only issue it has is rust. I know that’s not a small issue!
Here is some pics of the worst of it. Would cutting out the fender rust and buying some bolt on fender flares work for the fenders?
As for the bottom of the door and rocker panel what should I do?
Thanks!
P.S I’m a carpenter not a car guy but I want to learn!

Hmm...
...quite a bit of rust, and the other side may look as bad as this one.
Front fender is the least problem as they can be found and are bolted on, easy fix. The runners are some issue but normally on the blazers rust only out on the outside as yours did. If the interior wall of the runner onto the floor pan is solid it could be salvaged.
But also check the two frame mounts at the aft corners of the front wheel well (where your feet would be). These are prone to rusting as well. Then have a close look at the joint of the floorpan to the firewall. (where the floor-pan bends up to the vertical firewall some 2-3" from the bottom is a horizontal joint which is known to rust as well. That would be behind the pedals, or the passengers foot rest.
From the inside remove the moulds along the floor and lift the carpet to get an idea on how bad it is.
LMC and rockauto have body panels or partial panels you could buy but before that you have to make sure it can be fixed at all within reasonable time and money expenditure.
At least what I see from the pictures would be some 40 - 50 hours body work. So you would need a heated garage to work in, where the truck can sit until it's fixed.

As this is gone anyways you could cut in from the outside to figure how far in it is rusted. Then re-build from the inside out. Nut much else that comes to my mind. Maybe somebody else has done work in this section of the body?
