Spare tire carrier

Spare tire carrier
Does anyone know if you can mount a rear spare carrier on a 4-door blazer? I have a tailgate from a 2-door and found it matches up, but don't know about the body fit. I figure the older 4-door blazers had the carrier on them so why not try with a 95, right?
Thanks, Shane

A search would have found your answer...this has been discussed before.
The simple answer is yes, but not easily. The 4 doors were not made with the extra support needed to hold the spare tire. You could find some way to re-enforce the quarter panel, but it's not going to just bolt right up. It's been done before but you're looking at a decent mount of work.

4drs actually came with spare tire carriers in the RHD market is the funny thing. The NA market wasn't built with the supports or anything need for it though.
