Does anyone know if swapping in Tach with Drive information that comes with column-shifter automatics will work with a floor-shifter-equipped automatic? I'm wanting to build a custom center console for my Jimmy, which has the floor-mounted shifter, and while I have been 'training' myself to just put the transmission in Reverse, Drive, Neutral, etc, I just can't get away from that peace of mind of glancing to make sure I'm in the proper drive setting. With the slight curve in the stock shifter's 'window', it would look strange leaving it in the custom console.
