Default Tahoe Tow Hooks dont fit.

So I read on here from a couple people that 90s tahoe tow hooks are a direct fit so I ordered a pair on ebay. Well I just tried to put them in and the holes/bolts are larger than my jimmy holes/bolts so they wont even screw through the frame. Anyone have experience using tahoe tow hooks? Thanks

I think I will just use the same width as the stock bolts. But I will get longer ones, then just get a strong nut for the end of each one. So the towhooks will have play around the bolts since they are meant for the wider bolts. But the nut should hold them in fine and the bolts will obviously be threaded through the frame since its factory width Ill be using..

if there the same ones im thinking of i have used them on a few s10s... but in the back. you may be able to drill a hole in the hooks in order to get the bolt holes to line up

heres one i had on the back of a 85. it ripped the frame in half trying to pull out a H2. Tow hook was fine

Since the frame holes arent threaded couldn't you just drill the frame out a little bit more to accept the larger bolt from the larger tow hooks? I think that would be the better way to go that way the hook is being secured as it was intended by Chevy when they designed them.
