tail light tinting

Default tail light tinting

i want to blackout the tail lights on my blazer but i dont want to use a tint kit or spray them with the vht nightshades . i was told u can tint clear with black and spray them but what grit do u sand them wth so the sand scratches wont show but it will also stick ??? thanks for anyhelp !!!!

if i recall correctly for experience i'd say around 1500 should be right. i was a little confused if you are spraying them with a 'tint' type spray or not, if so that should be just fine. prob could even use 1000. wouldn't suggest lower
