Hi,

I have a 2000 Jimmy the rod that attaches to handle on the tailgate has broken or become detached . I can get the window open but can't get the gate down. I've replaced the blue plastic actuator piece in the past but this is the rod from the handle itself and I can't the trim off without breaking the interior trim because of the 2 screws on the side that are only accessible when the gate is down. Is there a way to release the gate in the same manual manner I did for the window when replacing the blue actuator piece?
