Tips on doing a cheap but nice DIY paint job?

i know but this is further proof that rustoleum does good work as long as you do good work before laying it..
the kicker is that I only sanded the gloss off the nissan, and then cleaned it with isopropyl/denatured alchohol glass cleaner mixture, then I painted....
