Default Window Trim Repair

I know this was talked about but the thread that i found most useful is closed.

This one: https://blazerforum.com/forum/showth...+window+pitted

I just bought my Second ZR2, my first didn't have the window trim problem but this one has it BAD.

is this a DIY fix?
what is all involved?
sanding priming and repainting?

or I think I heard someone said they used filler to fill the "pitting" and then primed and painted.

any suggestions?

Thanks, Will

There are several other threads dealing with this, including a great step by step with pics that Martin (okvortec) wrote up...blazerguy also wrote one up (see below)

The best way is to sand it down and bondo it (if it's really THAT bad). In other words if you can't get the pits out with just sanding you're going to have to use some sort of filler. After that its just priming and painting to match the body color, or black depending on what you want.

Here are some how to's:

No problem Will, glad to help. I know the search can be a bit wonky some times. There is a tips and tricks thread for search too though that you might try browsing through
