Now Rabbit, you said you spliced wires to hook up the halo, but this is what someone else told me they did. "They pretty much just plug and play if y ou know what I mean. The halo is the only two wires that don’t fit your factory harness so I checked the polarity (+or-) and then lined the wires up on each side of the small amber bulb on the corner and then pushed the bulb into the socket and it holds the wires in place. Automatically as soon as my lights come on high or low the halo comes on because its connected to the corner bulb. " It sounds much easier than splicin' and dicin'.

Yeah, once you take your stock low beam bulb out, you plug your wiring harness into the provided (already installed) plug and LET THERE BE LIGHT!

I dont reccomend doing it that way. One reason: I did exactly that first off and it blew my Left Headlamp fuse, the splice was very easy, clip, strip, and pinch. Took about 15 seconds each side. Another reason is the seal between the housing and bulb will have the two wires running through them allowing humidity into the headlamps, not to menion the unsightly wires you can see running out of the bulb socket from inside the housing. Then again that may just have been the case on my truck.

Not to mention it's a potential fire hazzard, because it's not a secure connection, and if the fuse keeps blowing, chances are, most people do it the lazy way and just get a bigger fuse...
Plus, it's fugly having wires coming out of a bulb socket, lol.

Rabbit, what price range did these fall in? We found some on ebay for 125 shipped I think and I think I looked up more that cost more and were more shipping for the same item. So we arent sure. he found a plug and plug HID conversion but im wary of the heat they produce. I wouldnt mind finding em for his bday but I just need help finding a decent set.

Indeed, and the projector housing is removable, according to the seller, lol, which makes a proper HID conversion much, much easier, and cleaner looking!
