i have a 2000 blazer with power problems at the moment. i think with the help from the forum and some friends i think it is the cat. another question is how can i get a good horse power boost without a turbo or super charger ?

A clogged cat can be the cause of power or acceleration problems. But you are being vague about what your blazer is doing.

And to answer your second question. The only other way is to do a v8 swap. Some have put in lsx engines and others have put in a 5.7 vortec 350. It all depends on $$$ and how much time you can spend.

If you think this is too much right now, there are several other mods that add on a few hp here and there. These include less restrictive exhaust, headers, cold air intake, and a more aggressive cam.
