I have been thinking alot since my rear main seal is going out is to convert my 4x4 to 2wd and do a 350 swap. i always wanted more power and i dont use my 4x4 and think about lowering the blazer.Does anyone got any suggestion on what to do? Does anyone know if u can swap out the 4x4 for a 2wd?

You can remove the parts, however, you would need to get a 2wd transmission to complete the change over. You could always keep your 4wd system and drop in the 350.

Thenew 350 is obviously much heavier than the 4.3, so typically you need to beef up the front end a little bit to make up for the extra weightand change your pinion angle and a fewother things. But look around for a front suspension lowering kit for a 350 swap. I had a few buddys do that with theirs

Change the pinion angle...? While you may need to crank the t-bars (since he has a 4wd), that is typically it. The front suspension can handle the added weight.

When you lower it, you may have to change the pinion angle, but that all depends. I thought you were saying that about the v8 swap...

Yeah he said he wanted to lower it with the v8. I was gonna swap mine awhile back with a 350 just never got around to it and ended up selling the motor
