Need governor help!!
i have a 98 S10 truck, and no money. lol. I heard that there is a way to overide your governor so i can go faster than 95 MPH without buying anything. A buddy of mine told me it had something to with the computer and rewiring but i have no idea. please help...

RE: Need governor help!!
The governer is integrated. It can be disabled by a power programmer.
I don't reccomend going any faster that 100 MPH in any vehicle unless your tires are rated for it.

If you do not have tires rated for speeds greater than 95mph, then you should not even think about attempting to go faster than that. With that said, there really isn't any way of doing this short of buying a programmer...

yup, I would have to agree. going that fast, not even just tires but the type of vehicle is just crazy. all it takes is one wrong bump and ...oops, tippsy toppsy.

my cousin is an installer at a gm dealership and he put a chip in. before he put it in he set a bunch of things on it like shift points and my governor. The tack gets buried no problem now

Yeah I have the rated tires for it and I hate my governor. Sometimes i hit it about 5 to 10 times a night trying to go home from band.

I have hit the 100 mph mark once and that was enough for me. The vehicle just did not feel stable that fast. But then again I am working on setting mine up more for off-roading then speed so that could have something to do with it lol.
