Default need help choosing parts/brands

next week im doing a tuneup on the blazer i picked up and it hasnt moved really since i got it. what plugs/wires do you recommend? also what brands of CAI do you know of, any clearance issues or anything like that?also replacing the cap and rotor, fuel filter, and a few other small odds and ends. should i go with factory replacements or are there better company's? and lastly, how do i go about getting a PCM reset/tune. or "chip it" as some say. anything i can do myself or do i need to go to a garage for a pcm retune.

for spark plugs go with ac delco only

i used platinum tip in mine and they work great.
i see alot guys with k&n i have that one myself. it fits well, but they are expensive.

for the pcm i believe you can send it and they re-program it i believe for more performance. a few guys on here have done it and say it works.

yes ac delco is gm main supplier from what i've found. i don't use them for every part but i've found for spark plugs use only those...

a little side story: i went to meijers (local grocery store/general merchandise) i picked up enough spark plugs to change the blazer. put one of there plugs in and i brought up a service engine soon light. came on here found out about ac delcos and swapped my old ones for ac delcos. light went away and the truck ran better than before.

alot of other guys on here swear by them too. i've seen a few guys run ngk too.

good enough answer for me, the lore around the shop says NGK are more for imports and run hotter than necessary for domestics. ac delco it is

im also planning on getting these, yay or nay?

i'd go with the cold air intake but i don't think that throttle body spacer is going to give you any more powerr.

Don't bother with a TB spacer on these engines. Totally worthless. Just get a cold air intake and you'll be happy as a clam with it.
