Default scraping/screeching in wheel area of '98 blazer

good day all. i'm not much of a car guy, but i know this isn't good. for the last couple weeks, whenever i'm driving (and especially when i'm moving in reverse) i hear a scraping/screeching noise coming from the wheel area. i'm not sure which tire exactly. i think something similar to this happened with my malibu a few years ago and it turned out to be the brakes and/or rotors. i don't hear or feel any grinding when i apply the brakes though. so i'm hoping this problem won't cost me a whole lot. can anyone point me in the right direction? thanks.

It could just be the screacher on the brake pad telling you that your pads are getting quite low. I would start by inspecting the brakes all the way around to see how much pad is left.

if your not a car guy the right direction is a shop no sense letting a minor problem become a major one.
