Does anyone have the surge performance chip because I'm thinking about purchasing it this weekend for my 2001 Chevrolet Blazer LS. I wanted to know if anyone has thoughts on this particular chip. If not the chip, i'm thinking about getting the Surge Supercharger itself which is the same price..here's the link to both..OPINIONS PLEASE!!

I never heard of that name before, but it looks like the old 'resistor' scam. I could not find a single positive review for it online, but found plenty of negative ones. For a 2001, a programmer or custom pcm tune is probably your best bet.

Yeah definately a scam. That "supercharger" is just a rip off of the Tornado. The surge chip is just an IC chip (probably either a series of AND gates or OR gates, maybe even an OpAmp. Sorry I have been learning about these and playing with them in my electronics labs (studying to be an electrical engineer) and it won't do crap for you.

For cheap alternatives, the only thing I can think of would be a "Wait 4 Me" Tune or getting a powerprogrammer. The Wait4Me tune costs like $75 to send in your PCM or $150 for a new PCM so you can keep your stock PCM. The Powerprogrammer by hypertech is about $300-$400 maybe cheaper if you find a great deal on one.
