Took a while to find the lid to it. Picked up a gray one, then primed it for paint.

Tried painting it to match my paint, but the red was too dark. Didn't occur to me that after over a decade in the sun, my RPO color code might not match. (I'd imagine it was garaged for some, but not all it's life, thus lightening the paint via UV ray bombardment!)
I ended up repainting the lid Hammered black. I'll post a pic later.
Then I found a nice black one today at the u pull it. So I now own two.

Pulled all the trim and mad flaps off to work on this rust. Rockers weren't the worst I've seen, but needed some grinding and repair.
I followed the sticky pretty much to a T. Used an angle grinder to grind off the surface rust, solvent to clean everything, then bondo to fill in the pitting.

Still need to sand and prime. I've decided to use bedliner on my rockers to avoid as many chips as I can.

One side done... First time working with bondo and bedliner. The bedliner was very similar to Plastidip, and the bondo was a pain in the ****. The other side should turn out better. Doing that tonight

Just picked up a Valley brand roof rack. Going to clean her up, sand her down, repaint, and strap it up.
