Here in Illinois you can do 6 inches from the top, therefore...yes... it is MUCH more illegal.

 

It's a fine either way.

 

If you tint just the top 6 inches which is legal, there is no fine. (legal here in IL)

 

I love it no second looks from cops and I have 20 on my side windows to match the back before I got them tinted to 2% and 20 is illegal on front side windows in every state almost

 

I know here in MO you can only go down to the line on the windshield. I'll have the tint shop go lower and have the tint match the rest. I've been pulled over for illegal tint before, and cops here never check that strip.

I tinted my taillights last night, but I dont like how they turned out so I'm working on them again today. They were a dull black, and I didnt get around the edges good. I'm waiting for the tint to dry around the edges right now, and I plan on a couple coats of clear.

I think I read somewhere that the more coats you put on the more dull they look. Not sure where I read that though.

 

they look dark =X are they noticeable in the day light ?
