Oh, believe me, if I had money to burn, I'd have a Z06, no doubt. But I'd also be into quite a few forms of racing. I just think that the Atom would be a blast to race in the SCCA open wheeled class.

I think you guys are missing the point of the car. Who cars if you couldnt use it in any track day. You cant with the FXX either but thats not even street legal. The Veryon can do everything every car mentioned above with AC, leather interior (nice interior unlike the ZO6). Dont get me wrong I love Corvettes and hope to buy one in a few years, but you just cant compare them to Lambos, Ferraris, Paganis, and Veryon. Sure the new one may be able to beat many of the cars but there are more to the other cars besides speed(exculsivtivty for one). If I had a 100 billion I would have a Vette(a Few of them)and a ton of Lambos, a few Ferraris (Enzo, F430, F40), and a ton of other high end sports cars including the Veyron. But I guess thats just my expensive tastes comeing out.

I guess thats how it always goes though people cant even apperciate a car for what it can do. They have to bring money into it. "Yea but the Corvette is $xx less than that car and only xxmph slower top speed." [sm=icon_blah.gif]

I couldn't give two poops about that car... I don't like it, lol.

I'd take an '88 Suburban over it any day. (with a big block 572, of course!)

Well, the turning the key to lower it, and hide the spoilers is pretty damn cool... but other than that, lol,

You said it yourself, there is a lot more to a car than just speed. I have already said that I really don't like the looks of the Veyron. And I could care less about exclusivity. Honestly, where does that come to play except for the uber rich, stuck up, above everyone, holier than thou crowd?

Sure they are nice cars, but I'm not falling over myself getting inline for one even IF I had the money. There are MANY more important things in life than having a garage full of expensive cars that are just going to sit there. But then again, if that's how you want to use your money... Well... Lets just say you better have a good job as back up because that is not a self sustaining lifestyle.

*EDIT* added the smilies to denote my sarcasm since it obviously wasn't too apparent...

You must not know any rich people personally if thats your interpitation of them. A friend of mine sells exotic cars and Ive met a few "rich" people includeing him, and your interpitation of rich people is way off. A lot of them drive there cars, very hard at that and many are nice guys. Do you think just because someone makes more money than you it makes them an *** hole, stuck up, etc? Im sure you make more than me and I dont think that about you at all. Although it seems you like to stereotype but a lot of people do that includeing myself.

I posted this because I thought some people could appreciate a car like that. For what it is instead of looking into it deaper than need be.

I guess you missed the sarcasm. I should have put in a smilie or something.

And yes, I do know many 'rich' people. Some of them are cool and very down to earth, but I also know MANY that are stuck up ******. And practically all of the 'rich' people that I know believe they are above the law which I dispise and don't look at it as a jealousy thing either.

All that I'm saying is that FOR ME, there are much more important things than owning a fast car that TO ME looks unappealing. But I guess I'm far to practical for such things anyway.

How did I know someone would say that? I dont care who you are you are crazy to say you would want an Atom over a Veryon. Veryon has the speed and the handleing. you cant beat that.

And I dont mean this in a bad way towards you, just towards everyone that says what you did(Id rather have....).
I'm going to step back and look at this statement. Who are you to say what I would like. You may have wet dreams over the Veyron. Is it an awesome vehicle. Sure. Do some people pine over it, I believe you are case in point. Does EVERYONE want one, hardly.

And the last sentance. LOL... Not towards you, just towards you and everyone else. RIGHT... You're too much. Personal preference is just that, PERSONAL.

If you can't take views different from your own, you've got some waking up to do.

While it is an amazing vehicle I would never want one. I would like to drive one just once, to see what it is like but own one.........no. If I had the money for it and I was looking for something exclusive that nobody else had, I would find a very rare limited edition etc etc. older car and have someone like Chip Foose build it.
